Some frequently asked questions:

  1. When do we make the payment?
Payment is due upon vessel arrival. The import GST will be based on the NZ Customs exchange rate at the time of customs clearance.

  2. Do you supply the Japanese Export Certificate or De-registration Certificate?
The original Dereg certificate is released from our office to compliance/the consignee once payment is received in full.

  3. What is BAF?
BAF stands for Bunker Adjustment Factor. This charge is in relation to fuel costs. Currently the shipping lines review this cost quarterly, and Cargo Coordinators bills this on at cost accordingly.

  4. How long does it take for my car to get to NZ?
Please allow 6-8 weeks from purchase date to delivery date in NZ

  5. What happens if my car gets damaged during transit?
All vehicles are covered by insurance, and this is included in your shipping costs. Any pre-existing damage is not covered.

  6. Can the car be delivered to a compliance centre of our choice?
Yes absolutely you can nominate your own compliance centre.

  7. How much does it cost for compliance?
Please check with the compliance centre directly for all compliance related costs.

  8. In terms of clean car rebate, are you aware if there's a limit to the number of rebates you can claim per year (for personal usage not commercial)?
